The Child Center of NY Internship Program
The Child Center of NY prepares students to become future leaders in health and human services for the benefit of all New Yorkers by providing practical learning opportunities. During Internship, also known as field education, students have the opportunity to connect and integrate classroom theories and practice in a real-world setting. Over the past few years, The Child Center of NY Internship Program has successfully recruited nearly 50 interns annually and served as a pipeline of seasoned professionals for our programs.
With the support of more than 40 universities and colleges, we recruit interns from a variety of fields, including social work, mental health counseling, creative arts therapy, psychiatric-mental health nursing, nutrition, marriage and family therapy, human resources, public health programs, and more. Our interns make a difference on every level, every day.
We know that with the right skills, education, and emotional support—tools that our interns help provide—children and adults of any background can build a happy, healthy, and fulfilling future.
